CARROLL KELLUM

FROST PROOF, FLA. -- Carroll K. Kellum, 79, died Tuesday.

He was a native of Kinston and was the son of the late F.W.K. Kellum and Virginia Koonce Kellum. He was the widower of Annie Outlaw Kellum, who was a native of Mount Olive.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia K. Kellum; two daughters, Joan K. Robertson of Danville, Va., and Julia K. Swagger of Richmond, Va.; a stepson, John Keeling of Inlay City, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Bonnie Schamback of Florida; and seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Long Ridge Free Will Baptist Church on Tram Road near Mount Olive. Pastor Pete Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Outlaw Family Cemetery in the White Flash community at a later date.
