EARL WILLIAMS

FAISON -- Earl Lewis Williams, 82, of 129 Brewer Road, died Tuesday night at SunBridge Care Center in Mount Olive.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Faison Cemetery. The Rev. Elizabeth Mangum-Deibert and the Rev. J. Paul Rose will conduct the service.

Mr. Williams was a retired farmer and a member of Faison Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ivey Williams and Pearl Hollowell Williams; his wife, Eleanor Watkins Williams; and his brothers, Lothy Williams, Elton Williams, Troy Williams, Roland Williams, and his twin, Merle Williams, who died in infancy.

He is survived by a sister, Helen Williams Flowers of Faison; three brothers, Foster Williams of the home, Bernice C. Williams of Faison, and Cecil Ray Williams of Mount Olive; several nieces and nephews, and two stepchildren, David Farmer of Faison and Faye Guy of Warsaw, and their families.

Visitation will be tonight from 7 until 9 at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. At other times, the family will be at the home of Helen W. Flowers at 210 Williams Street in Faison.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to a local Relay for Life Drive for the American Cancer Society.
