MOLLY W. PAYNTER

DUDLEY -- Mary "Molly" Welsh Herriot Paynter, 70, of 186 Highway 13 South, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Rubina Welsh Herriot. She was formerly employed with Barry's of Goldsboro and was a member of the Republican's Women's Club. She attended Emmaus Baptist Church.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Sasser officiating. Burial will be in at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Paynter is survived by her husband, Luther Rudolph Paynter; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard McLean and Karen Paynter of Pikeville and Charles Scott and Susan Paynter and David Andrew and Jennifer Paynter of Goldsboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie P. and John Lambert of King, N.C.; one brother, Richard Herriot of Edinburgh, Scotland; and eleven grandchildren, Kristen Paynter, Ryan Paynter, Tori Paynter, Danielle Paynter, Jaret Paynter, Sam Paynter, Luke Paynter, Reese Paynter, Chase Lambert, Sean Lambert and Kayla Lambert.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
