MARY H. VICK

Mary Hill Vick, 85, of 305 Glen Oak Drive, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Father George Foster presiding.

Mrs. Vick was a native of Toronto, Canada, and was the daughter of the late James A. Hill and Anna Wirth Hill. She was a member of the retired Officer Wife's Club at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Hospital for 37 years. She was the recipient of the Clara Barton Award with the American Red Cross and in 1989 she received the Governor Award for volunteering. For three years, Mrs. Vick received the volunteer award at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Col. Roy L. Vick; a daughter, Amy K. Stone, and husband, George G. Stone Jr., of Rockingham; a son, Roy L. Vick Jr., and wife, Yamira, of Raleigh; a stepdaughter, Trudy V. Phillips of Phoenix, Ariz.; two stepsons, Ronald L. Vick and Stephen L. Vick; and nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the memorial service, and other times at the residence.
