MARY F. FOREHAND
Mary Frances "Bet" Forehand, 81, of Pikeville died Monday at her home.
The funeral will be held by the graveside on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery. The Rev. Rudolph Rowe will officiate.
Mrs. Forehand was a native of Wayne County, born on May 31, 1922, to the late William Franklin Howell and Clemmie Roberts Howell.
She is survived by two brothers, James Howell of Goldsboro and Linwood Howell of Pikeville; one sister, Sallie Myers of Greenville, SC; a son-in-law, David Burnham of Pikeville; two grandchildren, Brandi Burnham and a special friend, Ray Price, and Brandon Burnham and wife, Mendi; and her beloved companion, Pee Wee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland B. Forehand; a daughter, Susan "Diane" Burnham; and one brother, Norwood Howell.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
