EDNA HARRELL
Edna Doris Taylor Harrell, 79, died Tuesday.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Edgewood Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Edgecombe Memorial Park.
Mrs. Harrell was born in Edgecombe County to James S. and Margaret Edwards Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Ben Harrell.
She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth C. Sumerlin and husband, Michael, of Pinetops, Faye Harrell Bell and husband, Langhorne, of Goldsboro; son, Ben Harrell Jr. and wife, Betty, of Raleigh; sisters, Ethel Gardner of Macclesfield and Martha Etheridge of Wilson; brothers, John Allen Taylor of Macclesfield and Tom Taylor of Savannah, Ga.; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Carlisle Funeral Home and other times at the home.
