KATHLEEN BLANTON

TURKEY -- Kathleen Clifton Lane Blanton, 86, of 206 Herring St., died at Mary Gran Nursing Center.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Turkey Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Reverends Paul Bennett, Elvin Butts and Tony More will officiate. Burial will be in Turkey Cemetery.

Mrs. Blanton was born in Sampson County to the late Harvey T. and Bevie Carroll Clifton. She was the widow of Ruffin J. Lane and was a homemaker.

Surviving are three brothers, Harold Clifton of Turkey, Carliss Clifton of Goldsboro and Eugene Clifton of Laurinburg; five sisters, Ethel Brunson of Allendale, S.C., Ruth King of Lake Hamilton, Fla., Jewell Sutton of Clinton, Joyce Perry of Raleigh and Elgie Dickan of Utica, N.Y.; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Royal-Hall Funeral Home tonight from 7 until 9, and other times at the home of Rev. Tony Moore, 401 Faison Road, Turkey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Turkey Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 72, Turkey, N.C., 28393.
