SEVEN SPRINGS -- William Roger Price, 76, of Billy Price Road in the Pricetown community, died Monday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The Rev. Anne Sims and the Rev. Mike Grady will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service, and at other times at the home of Brent and Betty Price, 3757 N.C. 111 South, Seven Springs. Committal and interment will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Pineview Cemetery.

Born in Wayne County at Pricetown, the community in which he lived his entire life, he was the son of the late Barry L. and Grace Garris Price. He was a long-time member of the Seven Springs Area Rescue Squad, having assisted many people during his time of service. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and the Pricetown Volunteer Fire Dept. and was a veteran of the U. S. Army and during the Korean War. He served as a motorcycle instructor and continued to enjoy motorcycles until his death.

He is survived by three sons, Dean Price of San Antonio, Texas, Terry Price of Seven Springs, and Brent Price and his wife, Betty Price, of Seven Springs; two grandsons, Paul Price, serving with the U.S. Air Force in Virginia Beach, Va., and Joe Price of Seven Springs; the mother of his children, Bobbie Cox of Jacksonville; special friends, Jo Stroud of Mount Olive, Bert Bogue, Allen Johnson, Gloria Flowers, and Lou Ann Price, all of Seven Springs; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Durwood M. Price, Eugene Price, Harold Price, and Rupert Price, and his sisters, Bertha Price Lee, Elizabeth Price Whitman, and Betty Fay Price Ginn.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Pineview Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, c/o Frazier Hardy, 2078 Zion Church Road, Mount Olive, N.C.; or the Seven Springs Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 105, Seven Springs, N.C.

Arrangements are by Tyndall Funeral Home.
