L.K. PARNELL
L.K. "Grancy" Parnell, 69, of 211 Dennis Drive, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Lee County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late William King Parnell and Estelle Owens Parnell. Prior to retirement, Mr. Parnell repaired appliances in Wayne County for over 30 years. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mount Olive.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel of Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Doug Bartlett officiating. Entombment will follow the service.
Mr. Parnell is survived by his wife, Mamie Letchworth Parnell; two sisters, Faye Callahan of Waycross, Ga., and Vivian Hamilton of Goldsboro; and one brother, Harvey Parnell of Darlington, S.C.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Vivian Hamilton at 157 Nealy Drive.
