JOYCE S. JAMES
MOUNT OLIVE -- Mrs. Joyce S. James, 61, died Saturday at her home.
She was the daughter of the late George W. Smith and Ruby Williams Smith. She was a member of Rooty Branch Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, John James; one son, Robby Shuffler of Raleigh; two daughters, Rhonda Bass of Faison and Kristie Roberts of Goldsboro; two brothers, G.W. Smith Jr. of South Carolina and Robert L. Smith of Seven Springs; and four grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Jerry L. Smith.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive with the Rev. Mickey Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and at other times they will be at the home at 2135 Summerlin's X-Roads Rd., Mount Olive.
