JAMES L. DAVIS
WILSON -- James Landis Davis, 81, died Saturday.
A Masonic graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. Stantonsburg Cemetery. Dr. Ben Martin will officiate.
Mr. Davis was retired from Imperial Tobacco Company and was formerly associated with the Wilson County Tax Office. He was a Veteran of World War II, a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of Mount Lebanon Masonic Lodge #117 and Sudan Shriners.
Survivors include his wife, Coleen Edmundson Davis; son, Ja Davis of Boone; sisters, Shirley Newsome of Fremont and Dottie Crawford of Kitty Hawk; brother, Howard Glen Davis of Goldsboro; and a grandson.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 US 264-A West, and other times at 602 Valleydale St.
Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to Sudan Shriners Children Hospital, Box 490, New Bern, N.C., 28563.
