VODDIE LADD

PORTSMOUTH, Va. -- Voddie Price Ladd, 86, died Thursday at Maryview Nursing Care Center.

She was a native of Dudley and was the sister of Ann Price Lee of Mount Olive, Bobby Price of Goldsboro and Thomas Price of Dudley. The widow of Woodrow Wilson Ladd, she had worked as a produce clerk for Overton's Market for over 20 years and was a charter member of Alexander Baptist Church.

In addition to her sister and brothers, Mrs. Ladd is survived by two daughters, Linda L. Lewis and Faye L. Matthews of Chesapeake, Va., and four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Sturtevant Funeral Home's Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel. Dr. Archie Corbi will conduct the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral on Sunday from 2 until 3:30 p.m., and other times at the home of Linda and Irvin Lewis, 4336 Meadow Wood Drive, Chesapeake.
