STEVEN S. HOOKER JR.

HOLLY RIDGE -- Steven Scott Hooker Jr., 8, died Wednesday at home.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Shirley Ward officiating.

Born in Wayne County, he was the son of Francis Shelley Bailey of the home and Steven Scott Hooker Sr. of Dudley. He was a second grader at Topsail Elementary School.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Walter Kevin Bailey of Holly Ridge and Dustin Lee Hooker of Fayetteville; his grandparents, Tommy and Judy McDonald of Lillington and Zeb Jr. and Wanda Smith of LaGrange; and his great-grandparents, Zeb and Elizabeth Smith of LaGrange.

In addition to flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Bailey Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 68, Holly Ridge, N.C., 28445.

The family will greet friends Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of his uncle and aunt, Steve and Jackye Cushing, 148 Country Run Lane, Goldsboro.
