KATHARINA COZINE
Katharina Ida Schmidt Cozine, age 70, of 6005 Brightleaf Drive, died Sunday, January 18th at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Zürich, Switzerland to the late Eügen and Katharina Koch Schmidt, she was the wife of the late James Joseph Cozine and sister to the late Walter and Kurt Schmidt. She was a homemaker and an avid cook. She will be missed by her family, close friends and neighbors.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Dann Patrick officiating.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Betsy Cozine of New Hampshire, John and Peggy Cozine of Goldsboro; one brother, Eügen Schmidt of Zürich, Switzerland; one sister, Pia Schmidt Klinger of Zürich, Switzerland; six grandchildren, Joseph Timmons, Allen Ray Darby, John-Kurt Cozine, Alexis Cozine, Katharina Cozine and Laura Cozine; and several nieces and nephews from Switzerland.
The family will be receiving friends immediately following the graveside services at Wayne Memorial Park and at other times at the home, 6005 Brightleaf Road, Golds-boro.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home is serving the family.
