Jimmy Lee "Jimbo" Wimbley, 85, of 321 Sandhill Drive, died Saturday at his home.

The funer-al will be conducted Wed-nesday at 1 p.m. at Ham-ilton Funer-
al Chapel. The Rev. Billy Newton will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Wimbley was born in Georgia on Feb. 2, 1918, to the late Elijah and Mary Wimbley. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Margaret "Coon" Wimbley, and six brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

His survivors include a daughter, Eunice Kennedy (Edward) of the home; a granddaughter, Valerie Whitfield of Goldsboro; and five great-grandchildren and two reat-great-grandchildren.

The viewing will be Tuesday from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
