ELEANOR PETTY
AUSTELL, Ga. -- Eleanor Fields Petty died Friday, Jan. 9, in Austell Bryan Center.
A graveside service was held in Orlando at Highlanders Cemetery.
Mrs. Petty was the widow of James "Jim" Petty of Austell and the daughter of the late Floyd and Ila Fields of Wayne County. Mr. Petty retired from the Navy and they had lived in Austell for 38 years. For a number of years Mrs. Petty was volunteer transporter who took cancer patients for their treatments.
She is survived by two sisters, Jenny Nelson and Jane Combs of Conway, and a brother, Charles Fields of Malden, Mo., and a number of nieces and nephews.
