The Wayne County Office of Emergency Services, Arrington Fire Department and the North Carolina Highway Patrol respond to a minor wreck involving a Wayne County Public Schools bus at the intersection of Arrington Bridge and Emmaus Church roads Monday afternoon. Officials say 21 students from Spring Creek High School were on the bus, but there were no injuries.

No children were injured when a Wayne County Public Schools bus was involved in a wreck Monday afternoon at the intersection of Arrington Bridge Road and Emmaus Church Road.

The bus driver, Henry King, 66, of Goldsboro, is charged with failure to yield.

Sgt. Michael Dorsey with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said King was turning left off of Arrington Bridge Road and onto Emmaus Church Road when a Ford Escape driven by 26-year-old Gustavo Soria-Soria, of Seven Springs, clipped the back of the bus.

Dorsey said a witness who had been following the school bus for a bit was able to fill officers in on the details of the wreck.

He added that 21 children from Spring Creek High School were on the bus, but there were no injuries reported.
