Local, state and federal offices to close for Thanksgiving holiday

Local, state and federal offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
State offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23 and 24 while federal offices, banks and post offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.
All Wayne County government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.
The Wayne County Landfill will be open Wednesday, Nov. 22, closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and open on Friday, Nov. 24.
All convenience centers will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 22, and Thursday, Nov. 23. Centers will be open on Friday, Nov. 24.
Wayne County Services on Aging (Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center) will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, through Saturday, Nov. 25.
All branches of the Wayne County Public Library will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22., and reopen Saturday, Nov. 25.
The city of Goldsboro offices will be closed Nov. 23 and 24 in observance of Thanksgiving. City trash services originally scheduled on Thursday and Friday will be completed on Wednesday, Nov. 22, before the holiday weekend.
Mount Olive town offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The recyclable center will be closed on Friday, Nov. 24, but will open on Saturday, Nov. 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will resume normal hours on Monday, Nov. 27, at 8 a.m.
Household garbage pickup will be delayed by one day and will occur on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24 and 25.
Yard waste pickup will occur on Monday, Tuesday and today.

Eureka and Seven Springs town offices will be closed Thanksgiving Day.
Town offices in Fremont, Pikeville, and Walnut Creek will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.
In Walnut Creek, garbage was picked up on Tuesday, Nov. 21, and recyclables will be picked up today.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority will be closed Thanksgiving Day.
The bus service will operate on a holiday schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday. Nov. 24.
The van service will operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday, Nov. 24, running for medical appointments and ADA qualified passengers only.
Wooten Garbage Service will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23. Thursday's route will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 24.
