A man is facing felony charges after allegedly breaking into several places in July and stealing thousands of dollars worth of property.

Joey Lee Stanley, 33, of 941 Claridge Nursery Road, is charged with two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering, felony larceny and three counts of felony possession of stolen goods.

People in Rosewood reported several thefts to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on July 14, 17 and 25.

In one instance,  deputies were told someone broke into a storage building and took $430 worth of property on July 14. Then, another person reported someone had taken $4,205 worth of their property on July 17.

Finally, on July 25, someone reported $2,026 worth of their property was taken.

Detective Sgt. Richard Farfour said the thefts happened at both houses and a storage building, and Stanley took electronics and tools.

Farfour added the thefts all happened on the same street in Rosewood, and that Stanley knew the people he allegedly stole from.

After an investigation, Farfour connected Stanley to the break-ins and thefts.

Stanley was given a $70,000 secured bond.

Farfour said some of the stolen property was recovered.
