Walking trail closed temporarily

A portion of the walking trail by Wayne Community College has been temporarily closed during construction, officials said.
The trail located at the back of the campus wraps around the college's tennis courts and softball field. The dirt road that forms part of the trail will be in use by construction-related vehicles during part of August.
The course is being rerouted to cut between the two athletic facilities. Signs and caution tape will designate the parts of the trail that are open and the restricted area.
The closure is a safety precaution, said Don Magoon, vice president of administrative services.
