Federal agents arrest fugitive from Goldsboro in Kinston

A Goldsboro man wanted by the ATF is in custody after being captured by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force Tuesday in Kinston.

Kinston police officers assisted federal agents in capturing Devon Dejatorian Waters, 38, at 719 Towerhill Road at about 8:30 p.m., according to a Kinston Police Department press release.

Waters was wanted by the  Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for conspiracy to commit robbery, interference with commerce by robbery and discharging a firearm in connection with a crime.

According to the release, Waters  was taken into custody without incident and placed in the Pitt County Detention Center. He was scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate today.
