One killed, two injured in wreck at Busco Beach

One person is dead and two others injured following an early Saturday morning crash at Busco Beach, 1243 Bryan Blvd., involving a four-wheeler.

The male driver, who died at the scene, was as operating a "side by side" utility vehicle at Busco Beach and hit a mound of dirt.

The vehicle rolled over after hitting the mound.

All three victims were outside of the utility vehicle when first responders arrived.

The individuals involved were from out of town and the names are being withheld at this time until proper notifications can be made.

The Wayne County 911 center received the accident call around 12:10 a.m. this morning.

The caller said that a 30-year-old man was unresponsive and CPR was being started by citizens.

It was also reported that two females, 29 and 30 years of age were injured.

Mar-Mac first responders, Mar-Mac firefighters and Wayne EMS were dispatch to the crash scene.

When the first responders and EMS arrived the man, later determined to be the driver, was declared deceased at the scene and the two females were transported to Wayne UNC Health Care where they were admitted.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office was notified of the crash.  A crime scene detective responded to process the scene. The North Carolina Highway Patrol was also contacted to respond due to the crash involving a fatality.
