Police seek information in the shooting death of 18-year-old Desconte Bryant

On Sunday, May 28, at approximately 1 a.m., officers of the Goldsboro Police Department responded to 410 Hollowell St. in reference to a shooting.

Officers located Desconte Bryant, an 18-year-old male and student of Goldsboro High School on the front porch of the residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Bryant was taken to Wayne UNC Health Care and later taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he was listed in critical condition.  

Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department responded and began investigating the incident.

 On Monday, May 29, investigators were notified by that Bryant had succumbed to his injuries and passed away that morning around 11 a.m.
