Two injured Sunday in city shooting

A shooting at 503 Dail St. late Sunday night left two people injured, according to a Goldsboro Police Department report.
Tracy Yelverton, 47, told police he was speaking with several other people at the Dail Street residence when he heard gunshots ring out.
After hearing the shots, Yelverton realized he had been shot in the right side of his buttocks. He was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A second victim, Kewanna McKinzie, 35, arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle shortly after Yelverton arrived at the hospital. Ms. McKinzie suffered a single gunshot wound to her upper right arm.
No suspect has been identified in the shooting, and the investigation remains open.
