Garden Spot begins Friday

LAGRANGE -- The LaGrange Garden Spot Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11-12.
The annual event, sponsored by the LaGrange Chamber of Commerce, will take place at LaGrange Community Park on Railroad Street. Friday hours will be 6-11 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
In addition to entertainment, food, craft vendors and children's activities, the festival will hold a cornhole tournament on Saturday morning. Vintage tractors and other farm equipment will also be on display Saturday.
The third annual Cornhole Tournament will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Registration will be from 10-11 a.m.
Bands performing this year include Eight Track on Friday evening from 7-11 p.m. and Diggerfoot on Saturday night from 7-11 p.m.
Children's activities include rock climbing, baseball speed cage, mechanical bull ride and human bowling. A $5 wristband provides unlimited access to the activities.
Festival T-shirts can also be purchased prior to and during the festival. They are currently available at Jeff Howard Nationwide Insurance, LaGrange Town Hall and Southern Bank in LaGrange.
