Aureo Antonio Lopez

A Seven Springs man is behind held in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $300,000 secured bond this morning after he was charged Friday with soliciting prostitution from a minor.

The victim is a 13-year-old female.

Aureo Antonio Lopez, also known as "Noe," 34, of 1262 Pineview Cemetery Road, is also charged with taking indecent liberties with a child and with first-degree kidnapping.

Lopez is an illegal immigrant, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

Family members reported the alleged incident July 16 after the victim told them she had been sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, according to a press release issued by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Lopez took the suspect to an unknown location and solicited sexual favors from her, the release said. He then began to make sexual advances toward her, which she resisted. The child then managed to escape and reported the incident to her family, according to the release.

Investigators located and arrested Lopez Friday. He is scheduled for a first appearance in Wayne County District Court later today.

Due to his immigration status, the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will be contacted regarding Lopez's arrest.
