Pikeville man charged

A Pikeville man is charged with manufacturing methamphetamines and selling the drug out of his home on Buggy Drive, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office press release.
Thomas Wayne Hinson, 49, 167 E. Buggy St., is charged with manufacturing meth and maintaining a dwelling for the purposes of a controlled substance. He is currently being held in the Wayne County Detention center under a $150,000 secured bond.
According to the press release, officers with the Wayne County Drug Task Force and the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation continuing their investigation into the illegal manufacture, sale and distribution of meth in Goldsboro and Wayne County executed a search warrant on Thomas' house and discovered a meth-making operation.
Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
