A 74-year-old woman robbed on South Center Street in downtown Goldsboro Saturday said the man who took her money put his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun.
The suspect got $3, most of it in change.
Mary Voorhies, a resident of the historic Waynesborough House at 104 S. Center St., told police she was approached after 12 a.m. by a white man wearing a black mask with the eyes and mouth cut out, according to a Goldsboro police report.
He gestured as if he had a gun in his pocket. The man then said he would kill her if she did not give him the money.
Mrs. Voorhies gave the suspect $1 in cash and $2 in quarters. The suspect then fled east on foot down Walnut Street.
The suspect is described as a white man, 6 feet tall weighing 215 pounds wearing a gray jacket.
