PRINCETON -- Princeton police Chief Tyrone Sutton said his officers responded to an armed robbery call at the BB&T Bank at 102 N. Pine St. late this morning.

The suspect was described as a black male about 6 feet tall, wearing a black hoodie and a black shirt and black ski mask and black hat with green symbols on the front and sides. He also was wearing jeans and sneakers.

The robber brandished a weapon and took an undetermined amount of money. The suspect fired at least one shot toward an office in the bank, and then fled northeast. The suspect is still at large.

No injuries were reported inside the bank. A police officer who responded to the call was not injured nor did he return fire.
