A downtown law office was robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday morning.
Maria Susan Gonzales Rivera, 29, told Goldsboro police two black men armed with handguns entered the Braswell Law Offices at 210 S. William St. at 11:25 a.m. and demanded money.
Ms. Rivera gave the men an undisclosed amount of money and they fled the area, the report said.
Investigators said it is unusual for a law office to be robbed at gunpoint.
"This is the first I've heard of this kind of thing happening," Sgt. Jeremy Sutton said.
Sutton said investigators are out looking for witnesses who might have seen someone running from the building.
"I would say it is rare fore this to happen, especially downtown, a block away from the PD," he said.
