Morning blaze

A Wayne County home went up in flames early this morning and firefighters are currently investigating just what caused the blaze. Nathaniel and Elizabeth Mitchell, of 1651 Old Mount Olive Highway, managed to get out of the house unharmed, but their residence and four vehicles were destroyed as firefighters from Mar-Mac, Arrington and Dudley worked the scene for some three hours after arriving shortly after 6 a.m. The local Red Cross was also on hand to assist the family.
