PREP GIRLS' GOLF: Golden Falcons, Saints play in ECC 3A-4A match

GREENVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock took third and Southern Wayne finished sixth during the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference opener contested at Greenville Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Savannah Strickland shot a 41 for the Golden Falcons, who carded a three-player total of 159. Adrien Floars scored a 58, while Taylor Smith turned in a 60.
Georgia Fulghum paced the Saints with a 60. Caroline Jones filed a nine-hole round of 61, while Madison Blizzard finished with a 62.
New Bern won the meet with a 112.
The next ECC match is Sept. 4 at Ayden Country Club.
