PREP VOLLEYBALL: Bears knock off Golden Falcons

NEW BERN -- Sophomore Abbey Thomas provided seven of Charles B. Aycock's 16 kills as a team during its 14-25, 14-25, 12-25 loss to New Bern in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference battle Tuesday afternoon.
Thomas also logged three blocks.
Mckenzie Norris seved a pair of aces and picked up five digs on defense.
Taylor Gay emerged as the defensive leader with nine digs, followed by Daelyn Brock with six and Camryn Ryan with five.
Norris and Jenna Oliver dished out eight and five assists, respectively.
