Marcus Metcalf scored 25 points, Linwood Grandy posted a double-double and Wayne Country Day slid past rival Wayne Christian on Tuesday by a score of 90-78.
Metcalf's outing also featured five steals, while Grandy finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Javon Outlaw added 19 points, while Jaden Cooper and Tracy Whitfield scored 15 and 13 points, respectively.
"This was the best game we have played this year," WCDS head coach David Flowers said. "Everyone contributed and did a fantastic job. The guys really seemed to buy in to what we were trying to do and did a great job."
The victory moved WCDS to 12-9 on the season and 1-2 in NCISSA Coastal Plains matters. It plays host to John Paul II on Friday.
