RALEIGH -- Rosewood opened its 2017 wrestling campaign with a dominant performance on Wednesday at Athens Drive High School.

"The entire team was very excited and ready to get the season started," RHS coach Bill Edmondson said."We feel this will be another very special year for Rosewood... our lower weights are very tough and will be hard to beat. As we get more practice time, the upper weights will fall in line and I think we have the potential to repeat as state champions."
The Eagles travel to Pine Forest High School on Saturday for its annual 16-team "Feud in the Forest" tournament.
