ROCKY MOUNT -- Lexi Jeffreys scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Jala Holloman added 13 points and Wayne Country Day generated 21 steals as a team en route to a 37-point shellacking of Rocky Mount Academy on Friday evening.

The Chargers also got eight points apiece from senior Lillian Freeman and Ja'Kea Brunson.

"This was a complete team game," remarked WCDS head coach David Flowers. "Everyone contributed from start to finish... Lexi had a terrific game and showed why she is one of the best players around. Our defense was great, and led to easy transition baskets."

Wayne Country Day (3-0) plays host to Lawrence Academy today.

Junior point guard Jala Holloman scored 21 points and dished out eight assists in Wayne Country Day's 5-point victory over United Faith Academy last Tuesday.

Lexi Jeffreys added eight points to the WCDS cause.

"This was a somewhat sloppy game for us," said Country Day head coach David Flowers. "The girls did settle in on a few occasions, and we were able to get a 10-12 point lead... UFCA continued to fight back and never went away."
