Jarran Reed Youth Football Camp

• June 24 -- Jarran Reed, who just completed his rookie campaign with the Seattle Seahawks, will host a free youth football camp from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Goldsboro High School. The camp is free and open to children ages 7- to 14-years-old. A total of 200 slots are available. East Carolina FOA

• June 12 -- The Goldsboro clinics for the East Carolina Football Officials Association (ECFOA) begin June 12 at 6:30 p.m. at 509 N. Carolina St. Anyone interested in officiating tackle football from the little league to high school level is invited. Free Volleyball Camp

• June 13-14 -- Carolina Shockwave Volleyball Club will conduct a free volleyball clinic at Wayne Country Day from 1-4 p.m. each for children ages 8- to 12-years-old. UMO Youth Soccer Camp

• June 19-23 -- The camp is open to boys and girls ages 4- to 12-years-old and runs each day from 9 a.m.-noon. The camp's three points of emphasis are ball control, fun and small-sided games. Coach Gills Basketball Camp

• June 19-22 -- Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on first day of camp inside the Greenwood Middle School gym. The four-day clinic features three days of fundamental instruction Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Camp hours on Thursday are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The registration fee is $60 per camper and includes a T-shirt. Grand Slam Baseball Camp

• June 19-21 -- Camp will be conducted at Charles B. Aycock and is open to the first 70 applicants ages 6- to 12-years-old. The registration fee is $60 per camper, $50 for two or more campers from the same family and $50 for three players or more from the same team.  The camp runs each day from 9 a.m.-noon. Goldsboro Parks & Rec

• Youth Fishing Camp I -- Will be held June 12-16 and runs daily from 8 a.m.-noon. The fee is $40 per camper ages 6- to 16-years-old.

• Youth Basketball Camp I & II -- Scheduled for June 12-16 and runs daily from 9 a.m.-noon for campers ages 4- to 8-years-old, and from 1-4 p.m. for campers 9- to 15-years-old. The fee is $40. Campers will play at the W.A. Foster Center and Goldsboro HS.

• Youth Soccer Camp -- Scheduled for June 26-30 for campers ages 4- to 12-years-old. The camp runs each day from 9 a.m.-noon and the fee is $40.

• Youth Volleyball Camp -- Scheduled for July 10-14 at the W.A. Foster Center. The camp is open for sixth- through ninth-graders and will run each day from 9 a.m.-noon. The fee is $40.

• Youth Golf & Tennis Camp -- Scheduled for July 17-21 at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course and Herman Park. Tennis is Monday-Wednesday from 9 a.m.-noon and golf is Thursday-Friday from 9 a.m.-noon. The camp is open for players ages 5- to 16-years-old. The fee is $40.

• Youth Baseball Camp -- Scheduled for July 24-28 at Berkeley Park and Mina Weil Park. The camp is open to players ages 5- to 12-years-old and runs each day from 9 a.m.-noon. The fee is $40.

• Beach & Fishing Camp II -- Scheduled for July 31-Aug. 3 and is open to campers ages 7- to 17-years-old. The camp begins each day at 8 a.m. The fee is $50.

• Advanced Golf Camp -- Scheduled for Aug. 7-11 at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course. Campers ages 13- to 17-years-old are eligible to participate. The camp runs each day from 8 a.m.-noon and the fee is $40.

Sports Camp

• June 27-29 -- Camp is open to children in grades K-5th and runs each day from 9 a.m.-noon at The Meeting Place in Nahunta. There is no registration free. Campers can participate in basketball, volleyball, kickball, wiffle ball and water games. Volleyball Clinics

• The Eastern N.C. Athletics Officials Association (ENCAOA) will conduct local clinics beginning June 27 at Hunt HS, N.C. Wesleyan, Roanoke Rapids HS and the Alice F. Keene District Park in Greenville.

The state clinic is June 26 at the Wilson County Ag Center.

The ENCAOA is seeking new officials willing to complete the eligibility requirements -- attendance at six local clinics, one state clinic and work eight hours of scrimmages. Interested officials must register by June 15 to be eligible to officiate N.C. High School Athletic Association games.

Wayne County Men's Amateur

• July 7-9 -- The registration fee is $125 and due -- with an application -- by June 28 at 5 p.m. Participants must be 18 years of age, a resident of Wayne County and in good standing with a golf course in the county. The 54-hole medal-play tournament will be governed by USGA rules and played at the following courses (in order) -- Southern Wayne CC, Goldsboro Municipal GC, Lane Tree GC. Entries must be submitted to the Tournament Committee, WCMA Golf Championship, 407 EdenPlace, Goldsboro NC, 27530.

Wayne County Junior Tour

• June 29 -- Opening-day play will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Club. The registration fee is $20 per player and must be paid before the first nine-hole round starts. Three additional Tour dates are July 13 (Goldsboro Municipal GC), July 20 (Lane Tree GC) and July 25 (Southern Wayne CC). Golfers will have the opportunity to earn points at all four nine-hole events. The final event will include a trophy presentation as well as a casual meal for the players.
