CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Jake Agnos tossed seven scoreless innings and East Carolina advanced to the American Athletic Conference title game with a 4-0 win over top-seeded UCF on Saturday afternoon.

It was the eighth-seeded Pirates' second postseason win over UCF and sets up a title showdown with Houston at noon today. The winner earns the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The top eight seeds and 64-team field will be unveiled Monday.

Agnos (3-3) surrendered just two hits -- one each in the third and seventh innings. He walked three and retired six Knights on strikeouts. Tyler Smith provided 11/3 innings of relief, while Matt Bridges picked up the save.

Spencer Brickhouse and Travis Watkins each swatted a home run for East Carolina, which climbed to 33-27 overall. Watkins tallied two of the Pirates' four hits, including his two-run bomb -- No. 10 on the season.

Eric Tyler recorded the Pirates' other hit, a single to left field in the fourth inning.
