MOUNT OLIVE -- The University of Mount Olive's Austin Hutchison, Zack Mozingo and Drew Ellis have been awarded Division II All-American honors by the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and D2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).

Austin Hutchison

* The senior earned first-team A-A accolades at starting pitcher by the NCBWA and D2CCA. The Tennesseee native was unanimously voted as the Southeast Region pitcher-of-the-year to go along with his Conference Carolinas pitcher-of-the-year award, and first-team all-CC recognition.

He finished the year 12-1 with a 1.82 ERA and ranks first nationally among Division II hurlers with wins (12) and fourth in complete games (7). Hutchison filed 97 strikeouts in 94 innings on the mound.

Zach Mozingo

* The senior drew first-team A-A nods at relief pitcher by both the NCBWA and D2CCA, and was picked as a second-team A-A at designated hitter by NCBWA. Mozingo played in the outfield, served as the designated hitter and received occasional calls from the bullpen that led to 13 saves -- third-highest in NCAA Division II play this season.

The Eastern Wayne grad fashioned a 1.22 ERA on the cliff. At the plate, he dialed in with a .338 batting average, mashed 16 home runs and collected 47 RBI. Mozingo was a first-team all-CC pick at DH and relief pitcher.

Drew Ellis

* The D2CCA tabbed Ellis as a third-team choice at first base. He was a first-team all-Southeast Region selection by D2CCA and second-team all-Southeast recognition from the NCBWA.

The junior from the Palmetto State belted a team-high 19 runs -- including two in the Southeast Regional. He drew 51 walks, cranked out 59 RBI and hit at .349 clip in the batter's box.
