SOFTBALL: Rebels' Haley Brogden holds Hobbton hitless

NEWTON GROVE -- Haley Brogden threw a no-hitter as North Duplin blanked Hobbton, 11-0, in their Carolina 1-A Conference clash Tuesday evening.
Brogden collected nine strikeouts.
Rayanna Koch paced the Rebels' offense with four hits. Brogden doubled twice in four at-bats, while Alyssa Santos provided two hits and two RBI.
Courtney Brock (three RBI), Brooke Cottle and Hannah Brogden supplied one hit apiece.
North Duplin (6-1 overall, 4-1 CC) is the guest of Spring Creek on Thursday.
