BASEBALL: Princeton's Flowers turns in 10-strikeout effort

PRINCETON -- Tanner Flowers filed 10 strikeouts as Princeton handed Lakewood a 9-3 loss in Carolina 1-A Conference play Tuesday afternoon.
Flowers scattered eight hits and permitted two earned runs in 62/3 innings of work. Colby Sullivan recorded the final out.
Adam Crocker led the Bulldogs' offensive attack with three hits. Nathan Ramby and Ryan Woodard provided two hits apiece.
Princeton led 7-2 after four innings.
