BASEBALL: James Kenan rallies past Spring Creek

WARSAW -- James Kenan erupted for five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and turned back Spring Creek, 11-8, on the Carolina 1-A Conference scene Tuesday afternoon.
John Avent (two RBI) and Desmond Tillery pounded out two hits apiece for the Tigers, who capitalized on four SC errors. Ken Avent III added one hit.
Christian Yarbrough (RBI) and Austin Reynolds each registered two hits for the Gators. Kaden Geelen (two RBI), Landon Smothers (RBI) and Casey Whitfield each had one hit.
Matt Dupuy, Jordan Ammons and Smothers all saw mound time for Spring Creek, which entertains North Duplin on Thursday.
