BASEBALL: Rose cruises past Southern Wayne

GREENVILLE -- Noah Horton drove in Southern Wayne's lone run during an 11-1, mercy-rule loss to Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe J.H. Rose on Tuesday afternoon.
Horton delivered an RBI single in the second inning.
Josh Grady added one hit.
Aryc Chrisman started on the mound and took the pitching loss. Lance Wise and Grady combined for 21/3 innings of relief out of the bullpen.
The Saints (5-3 overall, 2-1 ECC) travel to Greene Central on Thursday and play host to D.H. Conley on Friday.
