GIRLS' TRACK: CBA's Faulkner takes 1st in two events

WINTERVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock's Arlanda Faulkner emerged victorious in a pair of individual events during an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet ran at South Central on Wednesday afternoon.
A junior, Faulkner claimed first in the long jump (17 feet, 1 inch) and triple jump (33-8). She participated on the Golden Falcons' 4x1 and 4x2 relays that each placed second.
Bre'onna Bryant, Taniah Sims and Cyerra Carter joined Faulker on the 4x1 and 4x2 squads. The 4x4 quartet of Caitlyn Frazier, Karah Long, Dymond Floyd and Hannah Carter secured second place.
Carter won the 200-meter dash in 27.32 seconds and ended up second in the triple jump (33-3). Bryant seized second in both the 100 (13.72) and 200 (28.22) events.
Hannah Carter was second in the 400 in 1:09.31. Taniah Sims and Sarah Gregory each grabbed fourth in the 300 hurdles and 3,200 run, respectively.
