GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Eagles' Butts records double-double against Rebels

Braylee Butts recorded a rare double-double -- 26 points, 15 steals -- as Rosewood rolled past North Duplin, 62-24, on the Carolina 1-A Conference scene Saturday evening.
Butts also pulled down four rebounds.
Payton Lane contributed 16 points, four assists and four steals. Nekia Williams posted eight points, a whopping 17 rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots.
Mary Taylor Jones emerged as the Rebels' top scorer with 17 points. Destiny George added three points. Tori Jones and Jamilyn Wallace each collected two points.
The Eagles (6-9 overall, 5-2 CC) are off until Friday when they play host to conference member Hobbton. North Duplin (0-10) visits East Duplin today.
