WRESTLING: Warriors launch ECC schedule

Six Eastern Wayne grapplers each posted a 2-0 worksheet during a three-team Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet hosted by the Warriors.
EW defeated J.H. Rose 48-35 and battled to a 36-36 draw with South Central. SC won the match based on most first takedowns scored, 3-2.
Christian Torres, Noah Leon, Jaleek Lewis, Lesley Mallard, Nate Matthews and Joseph Scofield each had their hand raised in victory. Noah Leon, Anthony Ackee and Quiontay Faust each won one match.
The Warriors return to action Saturday in their inaugural Warrior Holiday Duals. The six-team round-robin event begins at 9 a.m.
