CLAYTON -- Senior 106-pounder Mario Harper earned the match-clinching points in Eastern Wayne's 42-39 victory over Triton during a non-conference tri-meet contested at Cleveland High School on Wednesday evening.
The host Rams defeated the Warriors 58-21.
Triton grabbed a 39-36 advantage as heavyweight Noah Currin pinned EW's Terrance Dawson just 81 seconds into the next-to-last individual bout of the night.
Harper answered with a decisive 94-second fall over Matt Shorb and ended up just one of two Warriors to file a 2-0 worksheet on the night. He slipped past the Rams' Jaydan Desqulnies 6-5.
Joseph Scofield, who worked in the 195-pound weight class, pinned Triton's Logan Allen and Cleveland's Terry Riddle.
Emmanuel Harper, Mekhi Levins-Williams, Christian Torres, Billy Bryant and Victor Skinner each had their hand raised in victory against Triton. Jaleek Lewis and Dilissus Council each collected an individual win during the Cleveland match.
