GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Saints pull off victory over No. Nash

DUDLEY -- Iyahna Bess turned in a 12-point performance as Southern Wayne knocked off perennial 3-A power Northern Nash, 41-27, on Thursday evening.
Samiya Bess just missed a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. Kiara Wallace contributed 10 rebounds and seven steals.
The Saints (4-4 overall) launch their Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference schedule at home Tuesday against New Bern.
