BOYS' BASKETBALL: Hawks take control in second quarter

La GRANGE -- North Lenoir erupted for 21 second-quarter points and seized command in its 83-60, non-conference conquest of Eastern Wayne inside Wooten Gym on Thursday evening.
The Hawks trailed 16-14 after one period, but outscored the Warriors 21-6 in the second stanza.
Individual statistics were not submitted.
Eastern Wayne (1-4 overall) visits county rival Goldsboro today.
