BOYS' BASKETBALL: Young scores 27 in Wayne Christian's road win

ERWIN -- Jaydon Young poured in a career-high 27 points as Wayne Christian turned back Cape Fear Christian, 63-61, on Thursday evening.
Young added five steals, three rebounds and two assists for the Eagles, who improved to 2-0 overall this season. Justin Ashford cleaned the glass for 14 rebounds and scored five points.
Blake Tinker chipped in 14 points, while Jaylon Wallace supplied eight points. Addison Johnson provided seven points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Dean Thornton had three steals.
